ኩይሀ (ክዊሀ ) በመቀሌ ደቡብ ምስራቅ አቅጣጫ የምትገኝ ትንሽ ከተማ ናት ........'ዕምባ ፈቃዱ ' የሚባለውን ጋራ በታላቅ ግርማ ተንተርሳ ተፈጥሮ ባስዋባት ልምላሜዋ ደምቃ ..... የዛሬን አያርገውና ድሮ ድሮ አስቸጋሪ የነበረውን የ ደቡብ ትግራይ ጠመዝማዛ ዳገታማ ተራራማና እልህ አስጨራሽ መንገድ አልፎ ለመጣ መንገደኛ የበረሀ ገነት የሆነችው ኩይሀ ......የተመሰረተችው የወታደር ካምፕ ለመሆን ነበር ... ከአዲስ አበባ መቀሌን ሳይነካ በውቅሮ በኩል በቀጥታ ወደ አስመራ የሚያደርሰው ጣልያን የሰራው መንገድ ከተማዋን ለሁለት ከፍሏት ያልፋል

ጣልያኖች የመሰረቱት ካምፕ ከነጻነት በህዋላም ጃንሆይ በወታደራዊ ቤዝነቱ እንዲቀጥል በፈቀዱት መሰረት ......ለዘመናት የወታደር ካምፕ የነበርችው ኩይሀ ከሰሜን ጫፍ ምፅዋ እስከ ደቡብ ጫፍ ሞያሌ ድረስ የሚኖሩ ኢትዮጵያውያን በሙሉ ማለት ይቻላል የሚኖሩባት ትንሽ መንደር ናት .............

ከተለያዩ የኢትዮጵያ ክፍሎች የተውጣጡት በካምፑ የሚኖሩት የጦር ሰራዊቱ አባላት ካካባቢው ተወላጆች ጋ ተቀላቅለው ለዘመናት በመኖራቸው መሀል አገር ያለህ እስኪመስልህ ድረስ የመሀል አገር ቋንቋ በብዛት የሚደመጥባት ሁሉም ተከባብሮና ተስማምቶ የሚኖርባት ድንቅዬ ውብ ከተማ ናት


በከተማዋ ጎልቶ የሚታየው በከፍተኛ ቦታ ላይ ያለው የማርያም ቤ /ክ ነው .....ኩይሀ እጅግ የምትደምቀው በጥምቀት በአል ጊዜ ነው ......ለጥምቀት ያካባቢው ታጣቂ ገበሬዎች ቆመህ ጠብቀኝ የሚባለውን ጠመንጃቸውን ትከሻቸው ላይ አርገው ቅቤ የጠገበ ጎፈሪያቸውን አበጥረውና ሚዶ ሰክተውበት የማርያምን ታቦት እንዲሁም ....' አሸጎዳ " ከሚባለው የገጠር ቀበሌ የሚመጣውን የመግደላዊት ማርያም ታቦት በሰልፍ አጅበው ካምፑ ውስጥ ወደሚገኘው 'ማይ ባንዴራ " ወደተባለው የጥምቀት ስፍራ ሲሄዱ ማየት ልዩ ስሜት ይሰጣል .....አጠገቡ ሩቅ ሳይኬድ አንድ አሮጌ የዱቄት ፋብሪካ አለ ......

የከተማዋ ገበያ የሚደራው ቅዳሜ ቅዳሜ ሲሆን ....ቅዳሜ እለት ኩይሀ በገበያተኛ ትጨናነቃለች .....ከመቀሌ ...ከአይናለም ...ከአዲጉደም ...ከውቅሮ ...ከማይመክደን
ከህዋኔ ....ወዘተ ...የሚመጡት ገበያተኞች ከከተማው ህዝብ ጋ ባንድነት መግብያ መውጫውን ሲያጨናንቁት ይውላሉ ....

ድሮ በላንድሮቨር 30 ደቂቃ የሚወስደው መንገድ ዛሬ በደቂቃዎች ዎክ ማድረግ የሚቻለው አቋራጭ መንገድ ተሰርቷል ማለት ነው ?



ሰላም ጌታ .......ድሮ በአሮጌ ላንድሮቨር (በነገርህ ላይ የድሮዎቹን ላንድሮቨሮች እወዳቸዋለሁ .......) ከ 30- 35 ደቂቃ ሊወስድ የቻለው ....በመንገዱ መጥፎነት ወይም ረጅምነት ብቻ አልነበረም ......ምን መሰለህ ? የዛሬ ሀያ አመት ከኩይሀ መቀሌ ( ርቀቱ 12 ኪ .ሜ ) ለመሄድ የይለፍ ወረቀት ሁሉ ያስፈልግ ነበር ...........ኩይሀን ገና ሳትለቅ ማርያም ቤ . ክርስትያንን አለፍ እንዳልክ አንድ ኬላ ነበር ....እዛ ላይ ከላንድሮቨሩ ወርደህ ለፍተሻ ሰልፍ ትይዛለህ .........ያንን ኬላ አልፈክ ያለውን ሰበርባራና አስቸጋሪ መንገድ በአሮጌ ላንድሮቨር (ብዙ ጊዜ በሽማግሌ አሽከርካሪ )በቀስታ ስለሚሄዱ ጊዜ ይፈጃል .......ከዛም መቀሌ አፋፉ ጋ ስትደርስ ሌላ ኬላ ያጋጥምሀል .....እዛም ወርደህ እንደገና ተሰልፈህ ትፈተሽና ነው መቀሌ መግባት የሚፈቀድልህ !

እንዳውም 35 ደቂቃ ብቻ አይበቃም .... አንድ ሰአትም ከዛም በላይ ሊፈጅ ይችላል ....አንድ ተራ ወታደር ከፈለገ ቀኑን ሙሉ እዛ ገትሮህ ሊውል ሁሉ ይችላል

የዛሬ ሁለት አመት ያየሁት እውነት ደግሞ ይከውልህ ........ከኩይሀ -መቀሌ የአሜሪካውን ሀይ ወይ የሚያስንቅ አቅዋራጭ ብቻ ሳይሆን የሚያምር በዘንባባ የታጀበ TWO WAY መንገድ ተሰርቷል ..........ኬላ የለ .....ፍተሻ የለ ....... በነዛ አገር ባቀኑት የምወዳቸው አሮጌ ላንድሮቨሮች ምትክ ዘመናዊ ሀዩንዳይና ቶዮታ ሚኒ ባሶች ተተክተዋል ....በሚያምረው አዲሱ መንገድ ዳር ባለው የእግረኛ መንገድ በዘንባባ ዛፎች ጥላ ስር ሆነው በምሽት በዛ መንገድ ዎክ የሚያረጉት ባብዛኛው የመቀሌ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ተማሪዎች ናቸው

ልጅ ሆኜ የኩይሀ ህዝብ ገንዘብ አዋጥቶ የገዛት አንድ አሮጌ አውቶብስ እንደነበረች አስታውሳለሁ ....ስሟ ' ለምለም ኩይሀ ' ይባል ነበር .....ስለ ለምለም ኩይሀ እና ስለ ሹፌሯ ስለ አቦይ ተካ በሚቀጥለው ጊዜ አጫውትሀለሁ
