ሰሞኑን ዶክተር በረከት ሀብተ ሥላሴ ‹‹የተከዳች አገር›› የሚል መጽሐፍ እንዳሳተሙና በዚሁ መጽሐፍ ውስጥም ‹‹ኤርትራና ኢትዮጵያ እንደገና ተዋሕደው አንድ አገር ሆነው ሳላይ አምላኬ አትግደለኝ›› ብለው ጽፈዋል ተብሎ በጥቂት መጻሕፍት አንባቢዎች አካባቢ ሲወራ ሰንብቶ ነበር፡፡ መጽሐፉን ለማየትም በነኝሁ አንባቢዎች ዘንድ ትልቅ ጉጉት ፈጥሮ ነበር፡፡ የመጽሐፉ ጥቂት ገጾች ባሕርን ተሻግረው ከጥቂት አንባቢዎች እጆች በመግባታቸው የዚህ አስተያየት ጸሐፊም መጽሐፏን አግኝቶ በጉጉት አንብቧታል፡፡ ስለመጽሐፉ የተወሩት ሁለቱም ወሬዎች ልክ አይደሉም፡፡ የዚህ በእንግሊዝኛ የተጻፈው መጽሐፍ ርእስ ‹‹የተከዳች አገር›› ሳይሆን የዚህ ጽሑፍ ርእስ ሆኖ የቀረበው ‹‹የቆሰለች አገር›› (Wounded Nation) ነው፡፡

ደራሲው በእርግጥ ዶክተር በረከት ሀብተ ሥላሴ ሲሆኑ፣ የኤርትራና ኢትዮጵያን እንደገና መዋሐድ ሳላይ አምላኬ አትግደለኝ አሉ የተባለውም በሌላ መጽሐፍ ካልሆነ በዚችኛዋ መጽሐፍ ጨርሶ የለለ የፈጠራ ወሬ ነው፡፡ በረከት እንዲህ ያለ የጸጸት ኑዛዜ ይጽፋሉ ብሎ መገመትም ፍጹም የዋህነት ነው፡፡ በረከት የወጣትነትና የጐልማሳ ዕድሜያቸውን ኢትዮጵያዊ ነኝ ብለው ሲማሩ፣ ሲሾሙና ሲሸለሙ ኖረው በአንጋፋ ዕድሜያቸው ደግሞ የኤርትራ ነፃ አውጪ ታጋይ፣ ሕገ መንግሥት አርቃቂና አሁን ደግሞ ስደተኛ ሆነው በአሜሪካ ይገኛሉ፡፡

መጽሐፉዋ በወሬ እንደተነገረው ባትሆንም ስለዛሬይቱ ኤርትራ ፖለቲካዊ፣ ኢኮኖሚያዊና ማኅበራዊ ሕይወት በቁጭትና በጸጸት የታጀበ ትረካና ትንተና በሰፊው የያዘች ስለሆነች በዚህ አስተያየት አቅራቢ እምነት መነበብ ያለባት ነች፡፡

የመጽሐፉዋ ዋና ጭብጥ ወይም ፍሬ ነገር በአንድ ወቅት የተስፋ አገር የነበረችውና አያሌ ልጆችዋ ለነፃነትዋ ሕይወታቸውን ሳይቀር በመሰዋት የታገሉላት ኤርትራ፣ ነፃነቷና የወደፊትም ብሩህ ዕድልዋ በአምባገነኑ መሪዋ ተኮላሸባት፡፡ እንዴትስ አንድ ሰው የመንግሥቱን ሥልጣን በመያዝ በሰላሙም ላይ ሆነ በጦርነቱ ጉዳይ እሱ ብቻ ቆራጭ ፈላጭ በመሆን የአገሪትዋን የተስፋ ብርሃን ሲያጨልም ዝም ተብሎ ይታያል ? ስለዚህ ኤርትራውያን አምባገነኑን መሪያቸውን ከሥልጣን ለማስወገድ መታገል አለባቸው የሚለውን ሐሳብ አበክረው ገሃድ ለማድረግ ነው ዶ /ር በረከት ‹‹የቆሰለች አገር››ን የጻፉት ቢባል ከእውነት የራቀ አይመስለኝም፡፡

ኢትዮጵያን ቀንደኛ ባላንጣ በመሆን ብዙ ጊዜ ካወገዙ በኋላ ወደ መጽሐፋቸው መጨረሻ ላይ በረከት ዛሬ አያሌ የኤርትራ ምሁራን የሚያነሡትን በትብብርና በመደጋገፍ አብሮ የመኖርን ጥያቄ እሳቸውም ያነሡታል፡፡ ስለዚህ ጉዳይ ያሉትን ከራሳቸው ጽሑፍ እንመልከት፤

‹‹ . . . የሁለቱ አገር (ኢትዮጵያና ኤርትራ ) መሪዎች በጋራ ጠላታቸው [ደርግ ] ላይ ያካሄዱት የትግል ታሪክና ከዚያም በላይ አገሮቹ ያላቸው የጋራ ማኅበራዊና ባህላዊ ቅርስ ሲታይ ሁለቱ መሪዎች ከአንድ ጠንካራ የመተባበር ፕሮግራም ተነሥተው በሒደት ውሕደት ወይም አንድነት እስከመፍጠር የሚያስችል ስቴራቴጂ ለማውጣት በቂ ምክንያት አላቸው . . . ›› (ትርጉም የኔ ) ካሉ በኋላ፣ ‹‹የሁለቱም አገሮች ሐቀኛነት ትክለኛ አመለካከት ያላቸው ሰዎች ደግሞ በሁለቱ ሕዝቦች መካከል የደረሰው ሁኔታ ምንድን ነው ብለው ጉዳዩን እንደገና በመመርመር በመካከላቸው የዕርቀ ሰላምና የመተባበር ፖሊሲ እንዲፈጠር በሰፊው እንዲበረታታና እውን እንዲሆን የማድረግ ኃላፊነት አለባቸው፤›› ይላሉ በረከት፡፡

A coward is always a coward. An opportunistic and mercenary Dr. Bereket still barking while the Lion of Nakfa is marching. I only have one advice for so-called Dr. Bereket..... seek wisdom!!. Your academical education without wisdom is just like a DEAD SEA, no living organism lives on. Once again, this "intellectual" betrayed Eritrean people for his greed desire to fame and power. Eritrea people paid the price for his mistakes when he was in power during HaileSilassie reign and Dergi Military juntas. So sad, he is doing the same historical mistake. He never had any moral courage to stand up for his own people, not even once. To have political differences, dialogue and alternative arguments in political arena is a one way for democracy, which I don't mind having him to have some political difference with Eritrean government. However, giving up his dignity, identity and our Eritrean sovereignty is just pathetic and absurd.

@dendenseattle , i dont know any thing about Dr bereket . i am not defending his bad deeds in the past . but i just want to comment on your view on wisdom . a person who needs to live in peace with all human kind is where wisdom is reside . i can feel what you are feeling when you think that ethiopians hurt your people . but i havent seen revange is a solution to anything

@deresorry If you've read my statement carefully, I never intended to advocate for any revenge against any one. My comment about Dr. Bereket was to convey the fact that he is an opportunistic scholar. Two mistake don't make right. I, personally, don't have any ill-wish to any Ethiopian. The worst part of our history with Ethiopians are behind us. I am not a cynical person rather so optimistic and enthusiastic. My wish is to see Eritreans and Ethiopians live in peace and harmony as neighbors.

@TsereMilki: Well, either you really don't understand Amharic well, or u are intentionally try to divert and twist what Ali Abdu tried to say. First of all, not alone, Ethiopians, even if Nigerians want to use the port of Assab, they are more than welcome. Every country has right to use the port of Asab as long as they show us the money. Money talks. It is all business brother. FYI, we don't have problems with Ethiopians using our port as long as they respect our sovereignty and pay for service

There has never been war between the people of Ethiopia and Eritrea. The war is and has always been between those in power and those seeking power. The vast majority of the people over 90% of them, on both sides are too poor and oppressed to fight a war unless they are forced to do so as a result of forced conscription or economic need........

Eritrea has to unite with Ethiopia and we shall restore the strength we had. Esayas Afeworki - cultured generation recalls back those who were sacrificed for the wrong cause. Ethiopians also recall those Martyrs who were sacrificed since the Ottoman Turks affiliation & aggression for Massawwa. We equally died for Eritrea. Both parties claim an out come for the blood spilled on the perspective of the different causes. That is why we shall unite. Unity is Strength! God Bless You!
